Tackling the climate & ecological emergency together

Dirty Water, Filthy Money

Our seas and rivers deserve better. Nature deserve better. We deserve better.

Sewage is not the only pollution, but it has single source and we know who is causing it, Water Companies, like Wessex Water who manage water in Dorset. We just want clean, safe water. We want sewage to be treated and sewerage infrastructure (pipes and drains) to work as it should. We want Wessex Water to do the job we pay them to do. That's a reasonable ask.

If you have concerns or views about water pollution in Dorset, come along to our Community Assembly on Weds 7th Feb 7pm-9.15pmm at Easton Methodist Church Hall, Easton Square, Portland. We will hear from community members about how water pollution affects different aspects of our lives; health, environment, wildlife, local economy, leisure and pleasure. This will help frame the issues, followed by in-depth discussion about how we can tackle them together and individually.
The event is being organised by the local Extinction Rebellion group, joining forces with other concerned local groups.
Come to the assembly and have your say. There will be refreshments and snacks. For further info please contact Caz, 07540 997717 or email de-net@hotmail.co.uk or xrdwp@protonmail.com
